This magnificent view is from one of the lookout areas at the Mizen Head Signal Station. I am looking north along the Atlantic Ocean coastline from Ireland's most southwesterly point at the Mizen Head Signal Sation. The view takes in Dunlough Bay, Three Castle Head, Dunmanus Bay, Sheep's Head, the entry to Bantry Bay, and further up into the mountains of County Kerry.

Standing on this exposed platform on a windy day can be challenging, but on a calm day like this it is perfect.

Tip of the day: If it's windy, hang on to your kids. They could end up in England.
