The cathedral sits in the expansive grounds of Prague Castle. Along with the cathedral, there are many other things to see and medieval exhibits to study. There’s even a Starbucks nearby for your afternoon “pick me up.”

The climb to the top of Wildcat Rock is long and steady, but the peaceful  view from the top is quite a reward.

These are the well-preserved ruins of a Franciscan friary founded in 1448.

A walk through Hore Abbey in the town of Cashel is fantastic. The abbey sits behind and below the much more famous Rock of Cashel. In my experience, Hore Abbey is so much more special and enjoyable to explore. Lots to see and far fewer people. Quiet.
